About Tina’s Career
I’ve been a licensed real estate broker in Washington State since 1988. I grew up with the business because my parents are both real estate brokers, though they are semi-retired now. From 1982 through 1988, I worked in mortgage processing at a few top lender offices in the area. (Interest rates hit 19% in 1983…I remember those days well!) In mid-1988, I went to work for my parents, as they then owned their own real estate company. I helped run the office management and did a few sales here and there. I also started my family that year. As time passed and my priority was to be home more with my children, I worked as an assistant to top producing agents rather than as a salesperson myself. I also tutored high school math in my home.
In 2003, I decided to resume my real estate career since all of my children were then in school. I've been plugging along ever since!
Areas that I serve include North King and Snohomish Counties. I know the areas well and have worked with clients from as far south as Covington and as far north as Camano Island. Having recently moved to my husband's home town of Spokane, I can now add that area also. I continue to serve my clients in Western WA personally and with my partner there, Reed Carruthers.
About Tina’s Other Interests
Outside of work, some of my hobbies include watercolor painting, camping, fishing, target shooting, home remodeling/building (Yes, I’ve built my own home and even platted my own property!), and motorcycle riding. (No Harleys for this family! I ride a Yamaha.) All of those hobbies sound great on paper but I have to say that our labradors get more attention than any of those! I show and breed conformation style labrador retrievers.
Other Stuff
I was born in Riverside, CA in a decade starting with a six. We moved to Washington when I was ten years old so I’m still technically not a webfoot! I’ve been married to my incredible husband since 1985. I attended the same high school as my stepfather and his mother–Lincoln High School. I graduated top of the class with a 4.0 GPA, excelling in Fine Arts and awarded for being in the Top 2% of Seattle’s Graduating Class of 1982. Instead of spending a fortune (that we didn’t have) to attend Cornish Art Institute, I took a year off to work. You all know how that goes…
